This is a great post I’ve shared. I don’t think people know what apps they install, most likely, as you say, with FB connect. I had 20 application requests I’ve blocked now.

I’m always surprised at what seems to pop into that app list. I visit mine every few weeks and sometimes find a doozy. I blame it on the ease of FB connect. Nobody wants to manage multiple logins and they just click. Then they never come back – exactly what most sites want…..

Good advice Patrick. I discovered those reading apps a while back, but other apps seem to jump into my account for no reason, too. I am heading for my privacy settings as soon as I post this. Anything that will make Facebook less annoying is A-OK with me!

True @facebook-817573:disqus but the reason I had to jailbreak it in the first place was due to the policies that Apple imposes on their users. Google does none of that. I have friends that have jailbroken phones that work just as well as before they were. I’ve played with phones that weren’t jailbroken. Some work better some don’t. I can say that the phone I have now doesn’t have to be jailbroken and works better than any iPhone I have ever used. It’s really a work of art.

As you mention in your opening paragraph, your old phone was jailbroken, so this is kinda like saying “wow, my new car drives so much better” when aside from the prior being several generation old, someone took off one of the tires.

Amen indeed brother! Recently they have had a lot of activity and I think it may have recharged my fervor. They have to be careful not to take over the world too quickly or they will wind up like Microsoft – that’s my only criticism.
